Lorenzo Brown scored a career-high 21 points and added six rebounds and six assists as North Carolina State rolled over visiting Elon 82-67 on Friday.

C.J. Leslie added 13 points, eight rebounds, five blocks and three steals, and Scott Wood scored 15 points for the Wolfpack (5-1), who showed no letdown after a big win over Texas earlier in the week.

North Carolina State ramps up the non-conference competition over the next few weeks with Indiana, Stanford and No. 5 Syracuse all on the schedule through Dec. 17.

Brown, who first-year coach Mark Gottfried moved to the point in preseason practice, had his breakout game against the Phoenix, shooting 9-of-16 from the floor. He scored eight points and recorded three assists during a 20-2 run early in the first half that put the Wolfpack in control.

A 10-0 burst in the second half included four points from Brown and ensured Elon would not sneak back within single digits.

Lucas Troutman had 20 points and seven rebounds for the Phoenix (3-2), who were outscored in the paint 44-20.
