Terrell Stoglin scored a game-high 30 points as Maryland snapped a three-game losing streak by holding on for a 73-69 home win over Virginia Tech.

The Terrapins (13-7, 3-3 ACC) held the visitors to 24 percent shooting (six of 25) in the first half while building a 32-19 lead. Virginia Tech (12-9, 1-5 ACC) staged a furious rally in the game's closing minutes to cut the deficit to two, but Maryland was able to maintain the upper hand by making 10 of 13 free throws in the final 1:09.

Stoglin, who shot nine for 21 from the field, including four of 10 from three-point range, scored 23 of his points in the second half. Sean Mosley added 15 points for the Terrapins, and hit all five of his shots from the foul line during the closing stretch. Maryland hit 22 of 32 free throws.

Erick Green led four Hokies in double figures with 18 points, while Dorenzo Hudson and Victor Davila each added 14 points. Virginia Tech shot 50 percent in the second half after its cold start.
