KANSAS 83, TEXAS TECH 50: Thomas Robinson had 16 points, Travis Releford added 12 and the No. 5 Jayhawks had no trouble disposing of the visiting Red Raiders.

Seven players had at least seven points as Kansas (22-5, 12-2 Big 12) remained in a tie atop the Big 12 with Missouri, which won at Texas A&M earlier in the day.

This one was never in doubt for Kansas, which opened the game on a 30-9 blitz and doubled the Red Raiders up in the first half 44-22.

Texas Tech (8-18, 1-13 Big 12) lost its 13th league game by at least eight points and fell by a combined 68 points to Kansas in two meetings this season.

Javarez Willis scored 17 points to lead the Red Raiders, who shot only 40.9 percent and committed 20 turnovers.

Kansas led by about 20 for most of the second half until Robinson sparked a 14-0 burst that swelled the lead to 72-37 with 4:44 remaining. Robinson’s dunk at the 7:42 mark started the run, and his fast-break alley-oop from Tyshawn Taylor ended it.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Kansas has a road game at Texas A&M on Wednesday before returning home to face Big 12 co-leader Missouri next Saturday. … The Jayhawks have won 20 straight and 89 of their last 90 games at Allen Fieldhouse. … Texas Tech has scored 50 points or less six times in league play.
