Georgia Tech 69, Wake Forest 62: Guard Jason Morris nailed five 3-pointers, scoring a career-high 22 points, as the Yellow Jackets earned a split of the regular-season series with the Demon Deacons.

Georgia Tech (11-19, 4-12 ACC) beat Wake Forest (13-17, 4-12 ACC) at home for the eighth straight time.

Trailing 48-44, the Jackets went on a 17-3 run sparked by Morris and center Daniel Miller, who hit 5 of 6 shots for 11 points. Morris added five rebounds, three assists, and a traditional 3-point play in which he soared for an offensive rebound and putback. Point guard Mfon Udofia had 15 points and five assists.

The Jackets improved to 3-7 at Philips Arena, their temporary home this season and site of next week’s ACC tournament.

After making 4 of 18 3-pointers in their loss at B.C. on Wednesday, the Jackets buried 11 of 26 on Saturday.

Guard C.J. Harris led Wake Forest with 17 points.

Game Notebook: Tech leading scorer Glen Rice Jr. (13.0 ppg), who is suspended indefinitely, missed his fifth straight game. … Wake Forest played without 7-foot center Ty Walker, who was suspended Thursday for the rest of the season. … Tech backup C Nate Hicks returned and played briefly after missing six games with mono.
