South Florida 63, Stetson 54: Toarlyn Fitzpatrick poured in 20 points and the visiting Bulls held the Hatters to a season-low 54 to win for the fourth time in their last five games.

Jawanza Poland added 19 points for South Florida, including a jumper with 55 seconds left to help seal the win for the Bulls (4-2). Poland also grabbed 10 rebounds.

Stetson was paced by senior guard Joel Naburgs, who notched 18 points -- including four 3-pointers -- and also pulled down five rebounds. The Hatters (2-2) were playing without leading scorer and rebounder, Adam Pegg, forced to sit after an ejection against Southeastern last time out.

The Bulls were without one of their biggest stars as well, with point guard Anthony Collins out nursing a calf injury. Martino Brock ran the point primarily in Collins' absence, dishing out a pair of assists to go with 10 points and seven rebounds. Collins leads the Big East with 41 assists.

A layup from Aaron Graham tied the game for Stetson at 47 to finish off an 8-0 run but the Bulls withstood the late challenge from the Hatters, maintaining a two-possession lead into the waning moments.

GAME NOTEBOOK: This was the 11th straight victory over Stetson for South Florida, which leads the all-time series 17-7... Stetson's 54 points fell well short of its Atlantic Sun-leading average of 82.7 coming in... The Hatters attempted one free throw in the first half, while the Bulls went to the line three times.
