Arizona State 63, Colorado 62 (OT): Evan Gordon scored on a layup as time expired in overtime and the Sun Devils handed the Buffaloes a rare home loss.

Spencer Dinwiddie put the Buffaloes (17-8, 7-6 Pac-12) ahead by one with 8.3 seconds left before Gordon ended the Buffaloes’ three-game winning streak with his layup at the buzzer. The basket was confirmed after video review by the game officials.

Jahii Carson scored 18 points and Gordon added 14 for the Sun Devils (19-7, 8-5), who improved to 3-0 in overtime this season despite being outrebounded 40-18. Jordan Bachynski chipped in 12 points

Colorado forced the extra period after Askia Booker scored with 34.7 seconds left to cut the lead to 54-52 and Xavier Johnson tied the game with a dunk with two seconds left. Arizona State led by three at halftime, shooting 57.1 percent in the first half.

The Buffaloes, who lost for the sixth time in 48 games at the Coors Events Center under coach Tad Boyle, were led by Dinwiddie’s 24 points. Booker had 17 points, and Johnson and Andre Roberson combined for 29 rebounds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado F Josh Scott left the game with 16 minutes to play after taking an elbow to the head from Bachynski. … After using the same starting lineup in its first 25 games, Arizona State started Chris Colvin in place of Gordon against the Buffaloes. … Dinwiddie was 14-for-14 from the foul line and has made 31 straight free throws over the last three games.
