Pittsburgh 78, Lehigh 53: Tray Woodall scored 23 points and Talib Zanna added 20 as the Panthers pulled away from the visiting Mountain Hawks to advance to the semifinals of the NIT Season Tip-Off.

Woodall had a game-high eight assists and made three of his team's four 3-pointers. Zanna was 8-of-9 from the floor and contributed six rebounds for Pittsburgh (3-0), which will play No. 5 Michigan in the semifinals Nov. 21 at Madison Square Garden.

Preaseason All-American C.J. McCollum led Lehigh (1-2) with 17 points, five of which came in the game's first 76 seconds and six of which came in garbage time. Gabe Knutson added 12 points for the Mountain Hawks.

Pittsburgh opened with a 12-5 lead before Stefan Cvrkalj buried a 3-pointer to start an 11-1 Lehigh run, all part of a see-saw first half. Steven Adams' jumper in the closing seconds of the first half gave the Panthers a 35-30 lead at the break, after which Zanna got hot.

The junior scored the first nine points of a 14-3 Pittsburgh run that Woodall capped with a 3-pointer to make it 49-35 with 15:20 left. McCollum answered with a jumper but Woodall hit another from long range, Zanna threw down a fast-break dunk to open up a 17-point advantage and Pittsburgh never looked back.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Since scoring 36 points in the season-opener, McCollum has totaled 36 in his last two games. ... Pitt held a 38-20 advantage on the boards and turned the ball over only six times. ... Despite being separated by less than 300 miles, the two Keystone State schools had not met since 1920.
