North Carolina State 75, Eastern Kentucky 56: T.J. Warren scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to propel the Wolfpack to a come-from-behind victory over the visiting Colonels.
Warren made 10-of-23 field goals and all nine free throws for the Wolfpack (4-2), who have won two straight for the first time this season. Jordan Vandenberg added 14 points and eight boards while Anthony Barber had 12 points and five assists.
Corey Walden managed 13 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Colonels (6-2), who had won four straight games. Glenn Cosey chipped in with 14 points, five assists and four rebounds.
Warren scored 18 points in the first 8:09 of the second half as the Wolfpack turned a six-point deficit into a 47-41 lead. After Walden's layup got the Colonels back to within two with 9:49 to play, they went nearly four minutes without scoring as the Wolfpack pulled away.
Eastern Kentucky held the Wolfpack without a basket for nearly five minutes in building an 14-8 lead prior to the second television timeout. The lead grew to 19-10 behind a 3-pointer from Timmy Knipp, but North Carolina State closed to be within six at 27-21 at the half.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wolfpack were whistled for just 11 personal fouls compared to 18 for the Colonels. ... North Carolina State dominated the boards 44-29 thanks to five players with five or more boards, including Desmond Lee and Lennard Freeman with six apiece. ... Cosey came in averaging 19.7 points.
