Dominic Artis scored 16 points and Carlos Emory added 15 as the host Ducks downed the Vikings.

Damyean Dotson added 12 points as Oregon opened up an 18-point halftime lead and cruised to its second straight victory to start the campaign.

Renado Parker and Dre Winston Jr. scored 15 points apiece for Portland State (1-1), which made 17 of 19 free throws.

The Vikings trailed 19-12 after Parker’s basket with 12:22 left in the first half before Oregon reeled off 13 straight points. Emory hit two 3-pointers and Dotson finished off the run with a hoop to give the Ducks a 20-point edge with 9:04 left in the half.

Oregon led 51-33 at halftime and the outcome was never in doubt in the second half. The Ducks shot 47.4 percent from 3-point range (9-19) and owned a 33-23 rebounding edge.
