Davidson 75, Vanderbilt 62: De’Mon Brooks led the way with 19 points and six rebounds as the Wildcats pulled away late and advanced in the Old Spice Classic at Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Nik Cochran went 4-of-4 from 3-point range en route to 14 points and Jake Cohen added 14 points for Davidson (2-2), which will play West Virginia in Friday's semifinals.

Kedren Johnson scored a game-high 28 points and Kyle Fuller chipped in 14 for the Commodores (1-2), who will square off with Marist in the consolation round Friday.

Vanderbilt took a 49-48 lead on Johnson’s three-point play with 12:02 left, but made only one field goal over the next six minutes as the Wildcats took control. Brooks sparked a 13-3 run with a layup and Cochran connected from beyond the arc as Davidson grabbed a 66-52 lead.

Brooks and Cochran combined to make six free throws and Cohen’s 3-pointer with 1:02 on the clock put the game away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wildcats won the battle of the boards 31-26. Clint Mann came off the bench to pull down seven rebounds for Davidson. … Commodores F Rod Odom missed six of his seven shots, including all five from 3-point range. … The Wildcats snapped a two-game losing streak.
