No. 24 Nevada-Las Vegas 74, Chicago State 52: Anthony Bennett had 22 points and 11 rebounds as the host Rebels downed the overmatched Cougars.

Khem Birch had 13 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots and Katin Reinhardt added 12 points as UNLV (12-2) rebounded from its loss to North Carolina and improved to 9-1 at home.

Jamere Dismukes scored 13 points and Matt Ross added 11 for Chicago State (4-13), which shot 30.5 percent and committed 17 turnovers while dropping to 1-11 on the road.

UNLV led by just two seven-plus minutes into the contest before rattling off 10 straight points. The lead was 39-21 at halftime before the Cougars rebounded to cut the margin to 53-42 on a 3-pointer by Ross with 10:23 remaining.

Bennett scored five straight points as the Rebels regained control with a 13-0 run that stretched the lead to 66-42 with 5:14 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Rebels F Mike Moser (elbow) sat out for the fifth time in six games. … Chicago State made all 12 of its free-throw attempts; UNLV was 23-of-32 from the line. … The Rebels had a 41-23 edge on the boards.
