Oregon 79, Oregon State 66: Freshman guard Damyean Dotson scored 15 of his season-high 21 points in the second half as the visiting Ducks rallied from a six-point halftime deficit in the Pac-12 opener for both teams.

E.J. Singler contributed 15 points and nine rebounds and Tony Woods had eight points for Oregon (12-2, 1-0).

Ahmad Starks scored 22 points, Roberto Nelson finished with 18 and Devon Collier had 10 off the bench for Oregon State (10-4, 0-1).

The Beavers led by as many as six points on seven occasions in the first half, the final time on a 3-pointer by Starks that gave them a 34-28 halftime advantage.

Oregon regained the lead for the first time since the game’s opening minutes on a 3-pointer by Dotson with 16:49 remaining. The shot was part of an 11-0 run that gave the Ducks a 43-36 lead. Oregon State scored seven straight of its own to tie the score, but Oregon came back with a 9-0 run to take the lead for good.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Beavers came in with a 184-153 advantage in the series, the second-most wins against a single team in NCAA history. … The four starters for Oregon State and Collier were the only players to score. … Oregon secured the win by making 13 of 14 free throws in the final 4:06.
