E.J. Singler had 14 points, seven rebounds and matched a career high with seven assists as the host Ducks knocked the Wildcats out of the ranks of the unbeaten in Pac-12 Conference play.

Dominic Artis, Carlos Emory and Tony Woods scored 10 points apiece for Oregon (13-2, 2-0 Pac-12), which won its 17th consecutive home game dating to last season and notched its biggest victory in Dana Altman’s three seasons as coach.

Mark Lyons scored 21 points, Solomon Hill tallied 16 and Nick Johnson chipped in 12 for Arizona (14-1, 2-1). The Wildcats’ loss leaves Duke and Michigan as the nation’s only undefeated teams.

Oregon led by 13 points with under six minutes remaining before Arizona went on an 11-2 surge. A 3-point bank shot by Lyons pulled the Wildcats within 67-63 with 1:18 left and Arizona was within three in the final minute before the Ducks held on.

Arizona scored the first 11 points of the contest but Oregon recovered quickly to take a 14-13 lead on Damyean Dotson’s basket with 13:35 left in the half. The Ducks later ran off 11 straight points to take a 13-point lead and led 41-30 at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Oregon defeated a Top 5 team for the first since beating No. 5 UCLA on Jan. 6, 2007. … Arizona’s 14 wins to open the campaign are topped only by the 1931-32 squad, which won its first 16 outings. … Singler moved into 17th place in school history with 1,271 points. He passed Terrell Brandon (1,263 from 1988-90) and Maarty Leunen (1,259 from 2004-08) on Thursday.
