Oregon 76, No. 25 UCLA 67: Tony Woods shook off the effects from the flu to score a career-high 18 points as the visiting Ducks pulled away late to end the Bruins’ 10-game winning streak.

Arsalan Kazemi posted 12 points and 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season and freshman Dominic Artis added 14 points for Oregon (16-2, 5-0 Pac-12), which has won five straight to open conference play for the first time in 39 years.

Freshman guard Kyle Anderson finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds and six assists while Travis Wear tallied a team-high 17 points for UCLA (15-4, 5-1).

In a battle of the two highest-scoring teams in the conference, neither team took more than a six-point advantage until the final minutes. After the Ducks grabbed their biggest lead of the game up to that point with 4:31 remaining at 62-56, the Bruins managed to pull within 62-61 on a 3-pointer by Norman Powell and two free throws from Anderson.

However, Kazemi made a putback on the next possession, Damyean Dotson hit two free throws and Woods followed with a pair of dunks as UCLA uncharacteristically folded in the closing minutes. Oregon hit six foul shots over the final 42 seconds to account for the final margin.

GAME NOTEBOOK: UCLA entered Saturday averaging a conference-low 11.1 turnovers, but committed 15. … The Ducks outscored the Bruins 38-24 inside the paint. … Bruins G Shabazz Muhammad didn't start as punishment for being late to practice Friday and sat the first five minutes. The freshman took a number of poor shots and finished with 10 points, eight below his average.
