No. 13 Butler 64, No. 8 Gonzaga 63: Roosevelt Jones stole an inbounds pass and hit a runner at the buzzer to give host Butler a stunning victory.

Butler (16-2) had fallen behind by a point after Kelly Olynyk made two free throws with four seconds remaining and point guard Alex Barlow committed a turnover with three seconds left. David Stockton tried to inbound the ball, but Jones stepped in with the steal and the final two of his 20 points to lead Butler.

Sam Dower scored 16 of his season-high 20 points in the first half for Gonzaga (17-2). Elias Harris also scored 20 points for Gonzaga and Olynyk finished with 14. Harris and Olynyk also had a team-leading seven rebounds.

Gonzaga surged to a 13-4 lead, but Butler eventually went ahead 22-20 on a 3-pointer by freshman guard Kellen Dunham with 7:55 left in the first half. They continued to trade leads throughout the second half.

Butler played without leading scorer Rotnei Clarke, who suffered a neck injury in a victory last weekend at Dayton. Barlow started in his place for the second consecutive game and finished with five points and six assists, including an 11-foot runner with 19 seconds remaining that gave Butler a 62-61 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Olynyk came into the week fifth in the nation in field-goal percentage (66.2), but shot less than 50 percent for only the second time this season (5-for-12). … Dunham shot 4-for-8 from 3-point range and scored 14 points. … Gonzaga was outrebounded for the fourth time in the last five games 28-26.
