Saint Louis 75, No. 10 Butler 58: Jordair Jett matched his career high with 19 points as the host Billikens beat a top-10 team for the first time since 2003.

Dwayne Evans contributed 15 points and three steals and Rob Loe scored 10 of his 12 points in the decisive first half for Saint Louis (15-5, 4-2 Atlantic 10), which improved to 2-1 against ranked opponents this season.

Rotnei Clarke scored 17 points and Andrew Smith had 12 for Butler (17-4, 4-2), which has dropped two of the last three after winning 13 straight.

Saint Louis led by as many as 17 points in the first half before taking a 34-23 lead into the locker room. Butler, which committed 16 of its 23 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes, never got back within single digits in the second half.

Saint Louis guard Mike McCall Jr., who entered the game shooting 46 percent from 3-point range, shot 3-for-6 from beyond the arc and scored nine points. The Billikens combined for 14 steals.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Butler is the highest-ranked team to play inside five-year-old Chaifetz Arena. … Saint Louis senior forward Cody Ellis is one of three players in the nation who leads his team in scoring off the bench. He finished with seven points. … St. Louis entered the game ranked 16th in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just over 57 points a game.
