California 58, No. 12 Oregon 54: Allen Crabbe scored 13 points and Richard Solomon had 13 points and 12 rebounds as the host Bears held on for a key Pac-12 victory over the Ducks.

Justin Cobbs hit a jumper with 1:36 remaining to put California (13-8, 5-4 Pac-12) ahead 56-54, and he sealed the win with two free throws after Oregon’s E.J. Singler and Tony Woods each misfired with 11 seconds left.

Woods had 14 points and eight rebounds for Oregon (18-4, 7-2), which has lost two straight since opening conference play with seven consecutive wins. Arsalan Kazemi chipped in 10 points and Johnathan Loyd had seven assists.

California, which won back-to-back games for the first time in more than a month, trailed 50-42 with 6:33 remaining after the Ducks completed an 11-0 run. The Bears responded with six unanswered points and tied the game at 54 on Crabbe’s layup with 2:33 to play.

The Bears scored 25 points off 22 Oregon turnovers, one shy of the Ducks' season-high. Oregon has committed 65 turnovers in the last three games without starting freshman point guard Dominic Artis, who is out 3-to-6 weeks with a foot injury.

GAME NOTEBOOK: California played without G Jeff Powers, who suffered a left knee injury Thursday against Oregon State. …. The Ducks have lost 10 straight games against the Bears, and are 1-11 in their last 12 meetings at Haas Pavilion. … The Ducks entered the game in first place in the Pac-12, while the Bears began the day in a four-way tie for fifth.
