No. 3 Gonzaga 71, San Francisco 61: Kelly Olynyk had 26 points and nine rebounds as the visiting Bulldogs pulled away in the final 10 minutes of the West Coast Conference game.

Elias Harris contributed 17 points and 13 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season for Gonzaga (25-2, 12-0 WCC), which ended a three-game losing streak at War Memorial Gymnasium.

Cole Dickerson scored 15 points and Cody Doolin had 14 for San Francisco (11-15, 4-9), which committed 21 turnovers.

Gonzaga sped to a 19-4 lead but couldn’t put away the Dons. USF got within five points with 4:22 remaining in the first half and eventually tied the score at 45 on Dickerson’s 3-pointer with 10:35 remaining in the game.

The Bulldogs regained separation with a 10-0 run that put them on top 63-52 with 3:19 left, and they closed out the game by shooting 6-for-6 from the foul line in the final 1:17.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Olynyk entered the weekend third in the nation in field-goal percentage (65.2). He shot 13-for-17. … The Bulldogs are off to their best start since winning 28 of their first 30 games in 2003-04. … Gonzaga came in shooting 39 percent from 3-point range. The Bulldogs went 3-for-16 against the Dons.
