Jeff Withey had 22 points on 8-of-9 shooting and added nine rebounds and four blocked shots in his final home game as the Jayhawks routed the Red Raiders in Big 12 play.

Kevin Young scored 14 points, Ben McLemore and Travis Releford added 13 points apiece and Elijah Johnson recorded a career-best 12 assists as Kansas (26-4, 14-3 Big 12) won its seventh straight game and moved a half-game ahead of second-place Kansas State in the conference standings.

Jordan Tolbert scored 16 points for Texas Tech (10-18, 3-14), which shot a season-low 26.4 percent from the field while losing for the 10th time in 11 games.

The Red Raiders trailed 13-10 just short of the midway point of the first half before Kansas began pulling away with 10 straight points. The Jayhawks’ lead reached 32-12 when Withey made his first 3-pointer of the season with 5:21 left in the half.

Kansas led 45-20 at halftime and pushed the lead to 61-23 on Johnson’s dunk with 13:40 to play. The Jayhawks’ largest lead was 41 points.
