No. 17 Memphis 81, Tulane 68: Chris Crawford led all scorers with 24 points as Memphis advanced to the semifinals of the Conference USA tournament in Tulsa, Okla.

Adonis Thomas added 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists as the Tigers (28-4) won their fourth consecutive game and their 20th straight against Conference USA foes and will meet Tulsa in Friday's semifinals. Joe Jackson, the Conference USA Player of the Year, contributed 15 points.

Junior forward Josh Davis led Tulane (19-14) with 21 points and 15 rebounds for his 18th double-double and surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone. Jordan Callahan contributed 18 points for the Green Wave, which shot 38.1 percent from the field.

Memphis took control of the game late in the first period, closing the half on a 14-0 run to take a 44-27 lead into the break. Crawford scored eight of his points during that run and tallied 17 of his points in the first 20 minutes on 6-of-8 shooting.

Tulane trailed by double figures for the vast majority of the second half. Memphis shot 55.4 percent and scored 20 of its points off 15 Tulane turnovers.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis won its first postseason game in Oklahoma. The Tigers previously were 0-3 in conference and NCAA tournament appearances in the Sooner State. ... Tulane G Ricky Tarrant, a second-team all-conference selection, scored seven points on 2-of-14 shooting less than 24 hours after he tallied 21 in Tulane's opening-round win over Marshall. ... D.J. Stephens, the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year, totaled eight points, eight boards and two blocks for Memphis.
