No. 25 UCLA 86, California 66: Jordan Adams scored a game-high 28 points and the Bruins never trailed while winning at California for the first time in their last four tries.

Adams finished two points shy of his career high while adding five steals as the Bruins (21-5, 10-3 Pac-12) capped a season sweep of the Bears. Travis Wear had 13 points and Kyle Anderson added 11, nine rebounds and seven assists for UCLA, which has won four straight and seven of its last eight games.

California (17-9, 8-5), which had its two-game winning streak snapped, was led by freshman Jordan Mathews with 16 points and Jabari Bird with 11. Justin Cobbs was held to just seven points on 2-of-8 shooting as the Bears' starting lineup was a combined 10-of-30 from the field.

UCLA scored the game's first six points and capped the first half with a 10-2 run to take a 44-32 lead into the half. Adams had 12 points before the break, including a 3-pointer with three seconds left.

Anderson helped UCLA extend the lead to 71-50 midway though the second half by assisting Adams on back-to-back baskets, one from full court. The Bruins never were threatened after intermission, building as much as a 27-point lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: UCLA coach Steve Alford has won 20 or more games in seven straight seasons. ... UCLA entered the game shooting just 41.5 percent on the road but shot 58.9 percent from the field in this game. ...
