No. 6 Duke 66, No. 1 Syracuse 60: Jabari Parker had 19 points and 10 rebounds as the host Blue Devils handed the Orange their second straight defeat following 25 consecutive wins to begin the season.

Rodney Hood contributed 13 points and seven boards for Duke (22-6, 11-4 ACC), which won its 31st straight home game and avenged an overtime loss at Syracuse on Feb. 1. The Orange appeared to have tied this one on C.J. Fair's layup with 10.4 seconds left, but Fair was called for charging and Orange coach Jim Boeheim came storming onto the court to protest and was called for a pair of technical fouls.

The wild sequence ended with the Blue Devils ahead 63-58 and Tyler Thornton made 3-of-4 foul shots down the stretch to seal the win. Coming off a stunning home loss at the hands of lowly Boston College, Syracuse (25-2, 12-2) received 17 points and eight rebounds from Jerami Grant, but the Orange's starting backcourt of Tyler Ennis and Trevor Cooney combined for only 13 points on 3-of-18 shooting.

In a game where the score was tight throughout, the teams were tied at 41 before Parker's three-point play with 10:32 left gave Duke the lead for good. Grant drew Syracuse within 55-53 on a floater with 3 1/2 minutes left, but Hood promptly answered with a basket, and Cooney's two free throws made it 57-56 with two minutes left before Parker's tough layup put Duke back up by three.

The Orange got within 59-58 on Rakeem Christmas' dunk with 39 seconds to go before Rasheed Sulaimon split a pair of foul shots, setting up the decisive sequence on the other end of the court. Sulaimon contributed eight points and seven assists while Fair had 12 points and seven boards for the Orange.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Parker and Syracuse's Michael Gbinije scored eight points apiece as the teams entered halftime tied at 26. Syracuse shot only 28.6 percent in the opening half and finished at 38.7 percent from the field. ... The Orange have not scored more than 61 points in any of their last six games. ... Syracuse C Baye Moussa Keita had nine rebounds, including eight on the offensive glass as the Orange outrebounded the Blue Devils 37-34.
