No. 11 Virginia 65, Miami (Fla.) 40:
London Perrantes scored 15 points without missing a shot as the scorching Cavaliers routed the visiting Hurricanes.

Virginia (24-5, 15-1 ACC) surpassed last season's win total by winning its 12th straight game, thanks in large part to a defense that has held 32 straight ACC opponents below 50 percent shooting. Miami (14-14, 5-10) shot only 26.1 percent in this one, missed all 12 of its 3-pointers and set a season low for points.

The Cavaliers were led by 15 points apiece by Malcolm Brogdon, who made all seven of his foul shots, and Perrantes, who one-upped his backcourt mate by going 5-of-5 from the field, 4-of-4 from the 3-point arc and 1-of-1 from the foul line. Erik Swoope paced the Hurricanes with 13 points while Rion Brown had 12.

Perrantes made all three of his first-half shots - including both 3-pointers - as Virginia went into halftime ahead 27-20. The teams combined for 33 percent shooting in the opening 20 minutes, but the difference was that the Cavaliers were 5-of-10 from 3-point range while the Hurricanes were 0-of-7.

Virginia broke open a 33-25 game with a 13-2 run that featured six points by Anthony Gill and cruised to the victory. Joe Harris chipped in 11 points for the Cavs, who finished 9-of-16 from 3-point range and 16-of-20 from the foul line.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Hurricanes' previous season low for points scored came in a 49-44 loss to Syracuse on Jan. 4. ... The Cavaliers allowed 58 points in a win over Clemson on Feb. 15 and have surrendered increasingly fewer points in each of their next three games - 53, 49 and now 40 against Miami. ... Aside from Swoope and Brown, no other Miami player scored more than four points. The Hurricanes' bench combined for nine points on 3-of-17 shooting.
