No. 20 Baylor 69, Kansas State 42: Taurean Prince had 14 points, five assists and five steals off the bench as the Bears dropped the visiting Wildcats.

Rico Gathers added 13 points and 10 rebounds and Lester Medford chipped in 12 points and three steals for Baylor (20-7, 8-6 Big 12), which recorded a season-high 14 steals. Al Freeman hit 5-of-6 shots off the bench for 11 points and Royce O'Neale added 10 points.

Thomas Gipson led Kansas State (13-15, 6-9) with 11 points and six rebounds. Marcus Foster added eight points on 3-of-11 shooting off the bench.

Baylor started 5-of-8 from the 3-point line - including two from Medford - on the way to a 20-8 lead with 12 minutes left in the first half. The Wildcats cut the lead in half with a 6-0 run but got no closer and Baylor finished with a 6-0 run - including Gathers' dunk off a Prince steal - for a 39-25 halftime lead.

Baylor was scoreless for more than six minutes to open the second half and Foster scored six of Kansas State's first eight points to cut the lead to 39-33. Prince had three buckets during a 19-4 Baylor run over the next eight minutes for a 21-point advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gathers leads the Big 12 with 14 double-doubles, which is ranked fifth in a single season by a Baylor player. ... The Bears have held six opponents to fewer than 50 points. ... Kansas State went 1-of-16 from the 3-point line while Baylor hit 8-of-16.
