No. 2 Gonzaga 70, Saint Mary's 60: Kyle Wiltjer scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half and grabbed 12 rebounds as the visiting Bulldogs dominated down the stretch to win their school-record 21st straight game and claim the West Coast Conference title outright.

Kevin Pangos finished with 14 points and seven assists for Gonzaga (28-1, 16-0), which has at least shared the regular-season crown in 15 of the last 16 seasons. Przemek Karnowski also had 14 points and hauled in seven boards as the Bulldogs topped the Gaels for the eighth straight time.

Brad Waldow scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace Saint Mary's (20-7, 12-4), which missed its final seven shots from the floor. Aaron Bright added 17 points but no other Gael had more than six, and the hosts managed just seven foul shots compared to 19 for Gonzaga.

Waldow scored twice in a row to put Saint Mary's up 55-46 with less than seven minutes left before Wiltjer - who scored a career-high 45 points last time out - hit a 3-pointer to spark a 10-0 run to put Gonzaga ahead for the first time. The Gaels regained the lead on two occasions but Wiltjer's layup snapped a 60-60 tie, Karnowski scored inside for a four-point lead with a minute left and Wiltjer made six consecutive free throws in the final 38 seconds to ice it.

Waldow scored three times in a game-opening 14-4 run, had a three-point play to make it 31-15 with less than eight minutes left in the first half and hit a jumper for a 40-27 advantage in the final moments before halftime. Karnowski answered with the last basket of the opening stanza and added a pair of baskets in a 10-0 surge to start the second half as Gonzaga pulled within 40-39.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gonzaga previously had 20-game winning streaks in 2003-04 and 2005-06. ... Bulldogs G Byron Wesley had eight points and nine boards while G Gary Bell Jr. also scored eight points and handed out three assists. ... Including last season's WCC tournament, Gonzaga has also won 21 straight against league opponents.
