Preview Roundups
November 03, 2018
Detroit at Philadelphia 1:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers have yet to lose at home and star center Joel Embiid is feeding off the crowd. Embiid will try to follow up a strong performance in Thursday's win over the Los Angeles Clippers when the 76ers continue their homestand by hosting the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
Cleveland at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Charlotte Hornets are struggling to maintain any positive momentum and followed up a strong performance in the opener of the homestand by squandering a 19-point lead in a loss two days later. The Hornets will try to take advantage of the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers and get back in the win column when they play the third of a four-game homestand on Saturday.
Boston at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Boston Celtics look to continue their torrid outside shooting when they open a five-game road trip Saturday against the Indiana Pacers. Boston knocked down a franchise-record 24 3-pointers in Thursday's 117-113 win over previously unbeaten Milwaukee.
Miami at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The Miami Heat are anxious to put back-to-back disappointing losses behind them Saturday when they travel to face the Atlanta Hawks for their first game after three days off that followed defeats to Sacramento and Charlotte. Miami gave up 248 points in those two efforts, and has spent the three-day break working to improve a defense that had not surrendered more than 113 points in winning three of its first five games.
Houston at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
Reigning MVP James Harden is slated to return to the lineup when the Houston Rockets visit the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. Harden has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, but Houston didn't miss the star guard while notching a 119-111 victory over Brooklyn on Friday.
New Orleans at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
DeMar DeRozan knows it's an ongoing process getting used to a new team and a new system, but he's making the transition look seamless. DeRozan will try to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a fourth consecutive victory when they host the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.
Utah at Denver 9:00 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets are off to their best start in 42 years and look to add another victory when they host the Utah Jazz on Saturday. Denver's 7-1 run is the franchise's top beginning to a campaign since the 1976-77 squad won eight straight to open a 50-win season.
L.A. Lakers at Portland 10:00 PM ET
There had to come a point where LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers management got tired of waiting for the wins to come, and it appears that time is now. James and the Lakers will try to put together back-to-back victories for the second time this season when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.
